PolarFlex is a segmented cutting edge system from Valley Blades designed for cleaner and safer roads. 12 inch wear segments are heat treated with carbide inserts to maximize the durability and wear time of the snow plow blade. The segments are housed in EPDM rubber to reduce vibration, increase flexibility, and clean roads in fewer passes. PolarFlex not only lasts much longer a traditional snow edge, but also saves on chemical use thanks to its enhanced snow and ice cutting abilities.
PolarFlex is available in any punch pattern for front plows, belly plows, wing plows, and snow pushers.
PolarFlex Features
Carbide Insert - 1” Tungsten Carbide Inserts along the blade allow for added wear resistance. The inserts run across the entire length of each of the 12” wear segments
12” Segments - Heat treated to protect the Carbide Inserts. Just one person is needed to install and replace the wear segments that weigh just 11 pounds
Replaceable Parts - Only change worn parts. PolarFlex brings the option to reuse most parts that aren’t heavily through the long life of the wear segments
Enviormental Benefits
Recyclable Parts - All parts of the PolarFlex System are recyclable including all steel and EPDM synthetic rubber pads. Replace the worn parts and easily separate them for proper recycling
Vibration Reduction - Rubber bushings housed in rubber for no metal on metal contact with the cutting edge, reducing vibration in the cab and noise for the surrounding community
Reduce Salt Usage - A better clean with PolarFlex blades allows for less salt and pretreating chemical use, while still maintaining safe roads. Decreases chemical run off into the surrounding environment

UnderBelly Mount
Superior Scraping- Underbelly plows use the weight of the vehicle to assist in cleaning the road surface, and the PolarFlex blades reduce and balance the wear on the cutting edge
Interchangeable Parts - PolarFlex wear segments, rubber housing, and bushings are the same as the front plow parts. This makes keeping replacement parts stocked easy
Consistent Wear & Safer Blade Changes - Like PolarFlex front and wing mounted plows, segmented belly blade parts weight less while simultaneously adding more down-pressure
